Saturday Night at National Harbor

Our friends Becky and Keith McCoy invited us to meet them at National Harbor this past Saturday. Eric came too...all three of the guys were in the Nellis Family Medicine Residency together. We ate at a fun place called National Pastime Sports Bar and Grill that had huge screens with different sports playing on all of them. As you have seen in previous posts, Jansen is not into smiling for the camera anymore.

It rained on and off, but never enough to ruin the night.

This part of our stroll kind of freaked me out with no barriers between us and the water.

I think the kids favorite part of the night (even more than the Ben and Jerry's we had) was playing on all the statue pieces of this giant trying to free himself from the ground.

When we told the kids we were coming here tonight they did not want to leave the house. I don't know if they are tired of all the sight seeing or what, but we decided to drag them out anyway. It made me happy that they ended up having an awesome time and solidified my knowledge that sometimes you gotta make them do things they don't want to do. Because moms know best. :)

That giant is really cool. Better over-funned than bored! Moms do know best.
