Tis the season for trips to see lights and Christmas parties.
Last week we went to Ethel M Chocolates' display of Christmas lights. It's a cactus garden, so most of the lights were twisted around pointy, poky, hurty things. I don't know how they did it. After a walk around to see the lights, we had a quick tour in the building where the chocolates are made.
Later in the week we went to an ugly sweater/white elephant party at a friend's house. I had bought my sweater last year for a party that we ended up not being able to go to, so I dug around in the garage and found it waiting for me to use this year. The big silver bow is my addition.
There were so many funny gifts. We all wanted the light up baby in a manger.
Nate and I actually went home with useful stuff: some tools and a tie!
I love our friends here. So many great people who love to have fun.
Here we are being fun.
Sunday afternoon was the Happy Birthday Jesus party that the Family Medicine Residency does. Dr. Crawford read the story of the birth of Jesus. There were a lot of people and a lot of kids, but it was a great little get together.
