Expecting

I'm really not sure what you were expecting to read in this post.

Maybe you were expecting to find out that we made an offer on a house in Las Vegas. (We did!)

Or it could be that you were expecting to hear all about one stinkin' fun weekend I had while Kiki was visiting. (More pictures later!)
It's certainly possible you were expecting to hear more about the Chili Chocolate Cook Off and maybe get the recipe for that yummy chocolate cake Nate made. (SOOOO good.)
It's always reasonable for you to be expecting to read about these two.

Oh, wait. You were probably expecting something more along these lines.
I'm glad I didn't disappoint you! I am coming up on 11 weeks and we are so happy. I had an ultrasound last week and things look great. I had some heavy bleeding a few weeks back and was pretty sure I had miscarried, but after having some blood work done I found out I was still pregnant. Due date is September 30. That will be all 3 kids' birthdays within about 30 days! Yikes. So far there is no reason to believe I would be at high risk for any complications or problems. It will be nice to get past about 22-26 weeks so that I can relax and feel confident about a successful pregnancy. Each and every little baby is such a miracle and blessing...we are so grateful to have the opportunity to have another one.

JESS!! I am so incredibly excited for you!! Not that a new baby can ever in any way replace your little Noah, but I have heard from other friends who have lost babies that to have a new baby is very therapeutic and healing. Can't wait to see another adorable Nye!

It looks as though January is a busy month for you and Nate.;) Woohoo! I also would love to try Nate's chocolate cake, although I don't want the recipe b/c I don't cook. And lastly, Natalie's hair is getting so long! I can't believe how grown up those two look. Oh wait, one more thing... how's your red coat holding up on the pockets where I sewed it?

Oh dear. I'm so ferschnickity. Here I sit in a puddle of tears, and with a dribble hankering to excape my pathetic sniffly nose. Is that what you were expecting? Of course you were, you know me and you know how incredibly ecstatic I am for you, Nate, and those two beautiful babes. I'm also shedding a tear knowing my Cola with be very close when that New Nye Guy or Gal is born! Hooray!

Holy crap Jessica. You now have 28 comments for this post. My mom was just asking me if I knew if you were pregnant and I told her I hadn't heard anything yet. So now I have. I'm so happy for you and I hope that everything will go well. Probably so scary with the bleeding. Hang in there. Luv you.

Yay! Congratulations to you and Nate! That's fantastic news.

Very scary about the bleeding though. I'm glad things are going just fine. I miscarried at 9 weeks and I always breathe a sigh of relief when I get to 10. We're hoping for a very uneventful pregnancy for you guys. And hey, our due dates are 11 days apart. Fun! :)
