I Just Cried a Tiny Bit

So Jansen and I went to Disney on Ice with the Julia and Annie this past Thursday. There were a couple times when I started crying just a little. I don't know!? All that Disney magic is real I guess? Sometimes I think I am one of those girls who doesn't cry much, I want to be in CONTROL of myself, but then I remembered that I also cried recently just reading an email informing about a baptism in the ward and also cried a few days ago when Nate called to say he was going to be late getting home that night. Maybe I'm not so strong.

I also realized on this magical night what a shame it is that my children have not seen Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Toy Story, Aladdin, the pitifulness could go on forever. Maybe I am not the only bad mom who feels the guilt because I promptly went home and reserved The Lion King at the library but I am like number 112 on the reserve list. I also imported all my Disney CDs onto Itunes. I'm on way to redeeming myself.
Aren't they the cutest things on two legs?

Annie and I had such a good time watching the kids' reactions and eating our Skittles/Milk Duds/PB M&Ms/Swedish Fish.

So much fun. And other than the giant alligator tears running down your face and the fact you were in the fetal position rocking and sobbing embarrassingly loud, I would have never known you were even crying. The treats were delicious too and I'm pretty sure that I ate them in record time. Such a fun night. I can't wait until next year when you fly out to go with us again

so funny that you posted this. just this last week we requested lion king from the library too- and we were also in the hundreds. I just ended up borrowing it (along with monsters inc, and a few others) from a friend. Zeb loves "I just can't wait to be king". and I am so with you on the magic thing. The last time we left disneyland- I stood under the castle and cried while they played "when you wish upon a star".

No worries Cola, all will be remedied once you begin spending weekends with the Lolly's. We'll learn more about trains, and Jansy Pants will learn more of our pal Walt. No more tears...

I wish I was one of those girls that could be in control too. I was running on the treadmil at the gym today and watching the rachel ray show. Some girl was able to fullfil a dream of hers and sing on broadway, and I shead a few tears...at the gym while sweating my guts out! How embarrassing! But disneyland is magical and I would have cried too. It is fun to see your kids enjoy something so innocent and magical!

First off you're a hottie! Secondly, your children are TRULY deprived! Thirdly, I have recently become re-obsessed with Disney classics making me feel even more sorry for your children. Fourthly, I have been downloading Disney songs... can't get enough of Disney love songs. You need to introduce your children to those songs ASAP. Lastly, I went and saw Broadway Lion King in Vegas. It was AWESOME! You have to go with your kids and ME this summer when you're in Vegas!!!

I so agree with the whole Disney Magic because I cried when I took Cloey when she was 2 1/2 to Disney on Ice and I kept wondering why I was crying but it was the look on her face that did it, the music and the atmosphere with all the kids "believing" and hoping their dreams will come true!! It sure is wonderful to relive things through your kids huh?
