The Check Up and Preschool

Natalie's one year check up found her weighing a little over 21 lbs (49th percentile) and 30 inches tall (73rd percentile). Her pediatrician actually detected a heart murmur that he said was not serious and not to worry, but he was referring us to a pediatric cardiologist. She has an appointment in a couple weeks. She HATED her immunizations. She got so upset that she just held her breath and was turning a little blue. Luckily, she hasn't had a fever or any of the other common side effects of shots. Here she is right before we headed off to the doc.

And Jansen had his first day of preschool today. He goes 2 times a week for 2 hours each day. He seemed to really enjoy it, although at this age it's so hard to get anything out of them!

Nate was on call tonight so I knew it would be a long day...thus we stopped at a park after preschool to keep us busy. Jansen promptly wet his pants, but I guess I'm just glad he didn't do it at school. My little one that has suddenly turned into a toddler:

Off we go!

Maybe I am just a worry wart, but I think I would freak out if the pediatrician said that to me. I am sure everything is okay though. Keep us posted anyway!

Jess your kids are adorable, and yep, Natalie looks like a toddler. Time for the next baby huh! ha, anyways, I hope it all goes well with Natalie. And also those 2 days a week of preschool are wonderful. It was great when my Jantsen was at school and I had my own time, and now this year he gets to go everyday for 3 hours. It is great! but still I do miss him.

When Cannon was at Primary Children's with RSV, the docs detected a heart murmor too. They weren't too concerned though. Hopefully Natalie's is just a little thing too. I think murmors are common.
