How Much is That Doggie in the Window?

I might scream if I have to go to the "pet store" and pick out dogs one more time.

I'll be working on something in the kitchen and then I hear, "There's a dog waiting for you at the pet store! It has a tag on it that says JESSICA NYE!" This means Jansen has crawled under the rocking chair and that Natalie has caught wind of what is going on and has crawled under the coffee table.

I must then walk around the living room pointing out all the dogs I don't want and why until I stumble upon these two treasures. We do this every day. But really...I know someday I'll miss playing pet store and that's why I'm blogging about it. But maybe I could just have one day off???

I feel the same way about playing cars or dancing with Whitney - the things we do to make our kids happy! What a good mom :)

Teach them how to make "nezbits"! That will keep them busy.

They have such good imaginations! I play "fetch" with my kids and they pretend they are dogs and I throw the ball for them and they run to go get it... Someday we will WANT to play these games and they will be teenagers...

HAHAHA Ana does that too and then she makes me tie a jump rope to her and take her for a walk. Kids are soo funny somedays I'm tempted to buy a real dog so I can get my work done, but then that will just add to my work load!!

Here's an idea...tell the kids that you can't bear to choose a doggie without Nate there to help you pick it out. Perhaps you could wait until he got home? Yah, I know, it won't work. How 'bout you throw them a bone? (I know! That pretzel recipe would make some great tasting "bones"...)

BTW, just be grateful no one's asking you to play with Barbie's. Imagine me, "Hi, I'm Barbie". BLEH!
