Keeps Us Laughing

Some funny things Jansen has said lately:

His prayers are 100%/always/every time this: Dear Heavenly Father, please bless the food, in the name of Jesus Christ AMEN!!! And then he throws his arms out like he is doing in the picture above.

Looking at a mole on my arm he said, "Mom! Look at that spot on your arm. Maybe the leopard gave you that spot."

"That stop sign means STOP. And sometimes it falls down. That means GO!"

"Natalie, don't fall down the stairs. You might get ruined."

"I'm going to school today to get married and do letters."

When he is referring to another child that is about the same age as Natalie he will call him/her "the other Natalie."

RANDOM AND UNRELATED: Anyone have any recommendations of really fun board games?

If your talking adult board games then may I recommend Ticket to Ride - it's really fun, and usually doesn't leave to hard of feelings:) like settlers of catan can (although I love settlers of catan).

He's going to preschool to get married to Julia right? She did ask him in the car and he politely said, "no thankyou." I love that kid.

Oh I live for the days when you share Jansenisms. They make me smile and laugh out loud. I hope you are keeping a journal of them all so you can enjoy them again in several years or better yet...publish a book! :)

Jessica, a lady in our ward told me that she kept a journal in her living room on the coffee table. She wrote down all the cute things her kids said in this book. It became a family treasure. She continued to do the same with her grandkids. I have been going to do this now that I have grand kids...but haven't done it yet. You should do it..your kids are the perfect age(& personality)to start! I will if you will...!

We miss Jansen! It would be so fun to hear him talk like that! I have to agree, Ticket to Ride is fun! ( also agree about settlers leaving hard feelings sometimes too! Scott during a settlers game once told me I was ugly--but only on the inside! It's been a long standing joke ever since.....

That's so cute, little kids are such characters sometimes. Sienna does the same thing at the end of prayers "AMEN" with the arms raised high in the air. As for board games, we love them. Here are some of our favorites:
Taboo, Apples to Apples, Times Up, Malarky, Balderdash, Pop Five (cranium), Mad Gab, Disney Trivia.

I love how little kids phrase things so uniquely. That's awesome. As for board games I LOVE Ticket to Ride although you've probably heard of that one. Curses is good, Would You Rather, Settlers of Catan, Perpetual Commotion is fun but it's really more of a card game.

All my favs have been mentioned but another good game to play with a group of people or just you and Nate and sometimes if you have a moment to yourself and don't want to do chores you can play on your own is Boggle.

My favorite one is the don't fall down the stairs.. you might get ruined.. I laughed pretty hard at that one. Who knows why.

I also recommend "ticket to ride". I can't stand those settlers games though. and although very old school- sequence isn't too shabby either.

I love your new family pictures, they are so cute. We miss you guys so much, and Columbus too. I think 3 is such a fun age, Zach keeps me laughing all the time. Your kids are so stinkin cute. Natalie defiantly looks like Boo from Monster's Inc. with those cute pig tails.
