I Spoke Too Soon

Yesterday I mentioned to a friend that my kids had not been sick all summer.

Today, I am doing lots of laundry.

Last night, after watching the Olympics for a little while, I headed upstairs...definitely ready to get some sleep. As I came up the stairs, I could smell the unmistakable stench of throw up. It was all over poor Natalie's bed. And all over her. You can imagine how the rest of the night went. Thankfully, Jansen only threw up once, early in the morning. He got a little bit on his teddy bear and I kept telling him I would wash it, but I guess he got tired of waiting around and took matters into his own hands. I found him in the kitchen:

They're actually doing really good today. Now we just have to wait and see if Nate and I get it...

Shouldn't have said it - you jinxed yourself! Ahh! I am so sorry. Cleaning up vomit is probably in the top three worst parts of the mother job description.

Oh, poor kids...and mommy! That is just the worst for everybody! Vomit is seriously so nasty! Christian is worthless when it comes to cleaning up anything like that. He can barley handle a poopy diaper. I guess Heavenly Father needed somebody to clean it up so he made Mommy's! I LOVE that Jansen was cleaning his bear on his own. Maybe next time you could be a little more on top of things for him! (j/k)

Jessica. I am sorry your kids are sick. That Jansen is seriously the cutest little thing...cleaning his own Teddy Bear. He has my heart!
Good Luck! Hope you and Nate stay well.

lol. This made me laugh. He took things into his own hands. I can't wait for Jaycik to start being all independent..ok maybe I can. But I still thinks it's adorable.

that is the worst...coming up and smelling what is waiting for you. I am glad they are feeling better.

Sympathy, coming your way! Eves had a puke fest at midnight last night but awoke completely fine! I have no idea what that was about, but I think you can rest assured (or not rest, as the case may be) that the Sullivans are not having a good nights rest either!

Ummm... pretty much this article made me feel so sorry for mothers. When I want to go to bed, I go to bed. I don't have to worry about throwing up children and what not. Mom's are the best. They put up with so much. A special thanks goes out to my mom and all she put up with raising 8 kids!

It always seemed like when you kids were sick that when I couldn't take it any longer and I would hand you off to your dad you would always throw up on him. He, he.
