Guess What We're Working On!

I know, I know. You're thinking: 1. A little inappropriate 2. We don't need to know about every minuscule detail of your life 3. Jansen is going to kill you someday. Well, I sort of apologize for the inappropriateness, and yes you do need to know every bit that is going on in the Nye household, and I'll deal with the Jansen part later. Any advice seasoned parents???

How exciting and totally not inappropriate at all! I love it. All I can say is make it a good thing even if he has an accident and don't push or rush him. It was a challenge with our Jantsen, I am full of advice! oh good luck!!

YEAH! I'm not alone in my pain!! I must say we are two full days without accidents and I think she's finally figured it out. Don't give up! I only threw the carpet cleaner across the room once in frustration. Good luck and it's so dang cold outside there's no point in going out anyways. I didn't leave the house for a full week.

I'm seasoned (with 1 child) but he took forever to potty train! He got the peeing down but the pooping took awhile. He just learned on his own, when the day came he went in and pooped and never had an accident again! He always used the big potty, for some reason he never liked the little one we bought him. Good luck! He'll do fine.

so my comment has nothing to do with your post but just this morning I was at the gym and this lady next to me had a big glass of ice water in a cup at her treadmill and i had a flashback of cheryl rawson and that cup of ice water in her cupholder in the car every morning on the way to school. I still can't believe it never spilled with her insane driving.

Keep me posted on his progress, when you think he's done really well for a few days I will send a train! Love, mom.

I am the seasoned, but still struggles most of the time, mother of 3 girls. I'm not sure all the potty training rules apply to both sexes, but here's my two cents worth. It will happen when they are ready. That's it. I tried and tried with Natalie and she didn't train until she found out our neighbor girl was trained, and there wasn't an accident after that! I didn't even try hard with Grace, she finally came to me and told me! Again, an easy one. Evie has broken all of the rules so far, so I may be in for it! Jansen is such a smart kid, he'll have it figured out in no time. Don't let them see you sweat about it too much, or else it becomes a power struggle, just be kinda like- "hey, you know, it would be cool if you were a big boy and went potty and then you could wear these cool train underwears...but whatever". I find that it works best when it is their "idea". But sometimes what works for one doesn't work for another, so good luck!

I love this post. I want to start with Peter, but I'm worried about how it will go. He runs and hids to poop in his diaper, but then he doesn't seem to mind having the dirty diaper on. He fights me when I go to change it. I'm not sure he is ready. It is awfully cold out so being house bound right now wouldn't really matter. I'll have to read up on the subject. Keep posting I want to hear how Jansen does.
