BOOTS!

Some of you may remember my very first blog about Jansen's love for his snow boots. Well he still loves them...the problem is they don't fit anymore. So I have hid them away in his closet. But his Grandma sent him some new boots today and he was so excited! A little bit ago Nate told him, "Grandma is sending you some boots," and for the past few days he keeps saying, "Grandma...boot!" At night before he would go to bed and in the morning when he would wake up he would say it. So it was no surprise that he wanted to put them on as soon as he saw them...

And it took some work to get him to understand that we weren't going to wear them when we went to play in the water. It's so fun to see him get excited and obsessed about the funniest things!

And here's an update: Jansen's in his crib right now, supposed to be sleeping--but we can hear him over the monitor jabbering to himself and inserting an occasional "Grandma--boot!" Guess we know what he'll be dreaming about tonight!

What a crack-up! I can't believe the box came already - I just mailed it from the little No. Bend Post Office on Monday afternoon. That's amazing - and then to think that I can look at your blog just 2 days later and see pic's of him IN his new boots - pretty cool! This is what makes it "bearable" for all of us grandparents that are so far away from you guys!!! Thanks, Jess, for being so diligent
about your constant photo updates and clever "writings" - we get a big "kick" out of them! Love you guys, and sweet dreams Jansen!!!

I bet the shoe obsession will continue with your baby girl too-- it'll probably just be more expensive with her though. Sorry to scare you Nate. Good thing you're going to be a Dr.
