I signed Jansen up for a class called Sporties for Shorties. It's once a week, and each week they focus on a new sport. Thank goodness it's also very laid back because most of the time Jansen just wants to run around the gym. He does love balls just like any kid his age, but he loses interest fairly quickly and just wants to run again. I'm afraid I have passed on my bored easily/can't sit still genes.
Now this was cool. If you can't tell, he's on a little coaster thing. I was worried Jansen wouldn't try it, but I think after watching all the other kids do it for awhile he was ready. He loved it. Heck, I wanted to try.
We even tried doing 3 kids after this one. It ended it a fun little crash.

That was Julia's favorite part of Sporties for Shorties. I totally got my workout pulling her around on those scooters. The knees of her pants were NASTY by the time we were done.
What a fun idea! I could use that for my shorty, these long days before the "sisters" come home are brutal!
How fun!! I would love it just as much as the kids I think! Maybe Jansen will be a cross country runner. haha...then you can tell him all your memories of our glory Hell Days! Well Kyle is doing the Army ROTC right now and that is the scholarship that we are waiting on, the whole tuition and stipened a month thing. Yeah, I think that it is the right thing for us too, but I also don't think I really have thought awhole lot about what the 4 year of duty might consist of. But oh well, it feels right and I am sure we will be blessed!
at least for the 4 years it is a JAG in the army (lawyer...think of Tom Cruise or Kevin Bacon in A Few Good Men)and not in combat front lines deal. If you would have told me even in highschool that my husband would be in the army I would have said NO WAY. but hey it is what it is right!
thanks for helping out with aiden today! it looks like they had fun.. i loved the pictures! thank you.
My favorite part of this blog is the look of pure terror on Natalie's face in the picture when you are pulling Jansen haha and yes I am commenting on your blog! Yaha!
is it offered at the Y? it looks like a blast-I bet Jansen is in heaven and it's a great reason for you to get out! I am always looking for anything to keep me busy- I have the "can't sit still" genes too.
