Last Tuesday.
It had to be one of the best feelings in the whole world: rolling over in bed around 5:30 am and checking my phone to find that Montgomery County public schools were closed...and then rolling the other way to nudge Nate and have him tell me he didn't have to go into work. SNOW DAY! To lay there in bed, all the kids still sleeping, and know that it would be a slow day at home was such a wonderful thought.
We (meaning I stepped outside to take some pictures a couple times) spent a couple hours playing in the snow first thing in the morning. Shoveling, building snowmen, and having snowball fights. Long after Natalie, Emmy, and I were inside, Jansen and Nate continued throwing snowballs. Jansen just LOVED it.
The rest of the day was a little more boring, and Nate had plenty of at-home work to finish, but our morning in the snow was pretty perfect.
