I'd been having a toothache over the weekend and I pretty much knew I was going to need a root canal. Tooth pain is the worst. Somehow it also hurts in your nose and ears and your brain and then you get nauseated. The pain got pretty bad, so I called several doctors on Monday morning trying to find someone who could get me in that day and accepted our insurance. Luckily, I found a great endodontist and had it completed Monday afternoon. I felt great until the Novocaine or whatever it was wore off. Then the pain really started. I hustled over with the kids to get my prescriptions filled. They told me it would be about an hour and I drove away to get the kids a Happy Meal, but soon realized I didn't think I could wait even an hour. It was the kind of pain where you can't hold still. I felt so silly, but I drove back through the pharmacy drive thru and basically cried to the pharmacist and told her I was in a lot of pain and needed my prescription NOW. Some of the longest 20 minutes of my life I tell you! I called Nate in tears and tried to get a hold of myself to get the medicine in me. To make a long story short, it was a miserable evening. When my pain medication wasn't working I even had Nate try some of the battlefield acupuncture he had learned recently. Night went okay. I woke up this morning and as I went downstairs to get Natalie some milk I suddenly got sick as a dog. And really sweaty. Thankfully after I got some food in me I was okay and things have been going good since then. So glad that is behind me.

Poor girl, I'm so sorry:(
Oh, gosh.... that is a nightmare dental story. Glad that things are back to normal.
Oh, that made my teeth start aching. Hope you never have to repeat that!
I felt so bad when I talked to you, I wanted to drive right over to that pharmacy and tell them a thing or two. An hour? Was there a run on prescriptions? Glad your feeling better and don't take medicine on an empty stomach. You have an empty stomach a lot. Don't deny it, you do, I know I lived with you once for a time. Remember the pantry incident? Call me and we'll discuss. Love you. Mom.
Oh man! I'm so sorry. It's so hard being in pain and being sick when you are the mommy!! I'm glad you are feeling better though.
Oh Jess, I should have brought you dinner! Do you need anything? Please let me know!
ouch, i hate tooth pain! i'm so sorry! this might sound kind of dumb, but have you tried plain old ibuprofen? when i had a root canal the doctors prescribed lortab for me but it did absolutely nothing for me and ibuprofen did. i think i've had two more since then and i always just use lots of ibuprofen! i hope it gets better fast for you. its so hard to be a good mom when you are in so much pain!
Hope you have a MUCH better day today! I hate that one little tooth can cause so much pain and can even require battlefield procedures! Yikes!
