Emmy is a little over 5 months now. I am still nursing her, and she likes to tease me by taking a bottle every so often and vehemently refusing most of the time. I'm hoping to wean her soon...especially by April when I get to take a kidless (hopefully) girls trip back to Ohio!!! We feed her solids kind of sporadically, but she is definitely interested in table food and since she can grab things now, our food is no longer safe. A couple months ago she rolled from tummy to back several times, but we haven't seen her roll since then. It's on the horizon though. So is sitting up on her own. Here we are practicing:
She is so kissable. It wouldn't be an Emmy post without a picture of her big wide eyes:
The relationships between these three is priceless. They love each other to pieces, and I can feel the loyalty, trust, and bonds growing each day.
Her smile is a melter and she gives it out freely. She has Nate wrapped around her finger. Because of his schedule, Emmy doesn't see Nate sometimes for days and days. But when she finally does, she LIGHTS up. Loves her daddy.
We are finally at a point that I can lay her down awake for naps and she will fall asleep with only a few tears, if any. Her naps are getting a little longer and more predictable. Night sleep is still a bit of a roller coaster. She is an early early riser like Jansen, but things are improving.

Amen to the bottle woes. Why must they tease us that way!? Although I'm secretly hoping you have to bring Emmy with you so that I can meet her and that she can be BFFs with Sammi. They could stare with big eyes at each other. :)
