Dinner Idea!

I don't think I've ever posted a recipe before, but I enjoy this meal so much and I love discovering new recipes from friends so I thought I would share one. I got it from a ward recipe collection (it was submitted by Laurie A.) and it reminds me of something I used to order at the Pizza Factory. It's delicious, but not exactly low-fat. Without further ado...

Super Yummy Garlic Chicken Pasta
16 oz. Farfalle pasta
1 cup heavy whipping cream
4-6 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
2 to 3 cloves garlic, crushed OR garlic salt
1 T pepper
1/2 cup butter
1 lb. bacon, crumbled (I often use at least half this and it's still great)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 (12 oz) Lawry’s mesquite marinade with lime juice

Crock pot chicken and bottle of marinade on low for 6 hours.
Boil pasta. Cut chicken
Melt butter; add garlic, whipping cream, pepper, parmesan cheese, and bacon.
Whisk together on low heat for 3-4 minutes.
In large bowl pour over pasta and chicken and stir through.

I can't bring myself to try it. The cream and butter terrify me. I'll have to make it for Kent sometime when I am going to be going out for the evening or something! he'd LOVE it.

The recipe sounds great. I couldn't help it but, while reading the recipe, I was reminded of Nate's favorite snack as a kid. Crisco straight from the can.
