I accumulated a few books from my year of teaching second grade...and now they are coming back to haunt me. It's always been nice to have more books than Jansen could ever get bored of, but after we found this in his room, I am wondering if they need a new home. Yes, he is pretty much climbing a small hill of books in this picture. We've come across a few old favorites as we've sorted through and worked on cleaning up the pile. I think it's so great that some books that don't have the most "intense" or up to date illustrations are still some of his most loved. (I'm thinking of Goodnight Moon, Make Way for Ducklings, and Goodnight Gorilla.) Books are so cool.

So cute Jess, I love kids books and I love it when my kids sit down and look at them, as long as it lasts. Im looking forward to seeing you!
We love book at our house as well. Our newly fav is "Hooray for Fish" by Lucy Cousins. We don't own it yet but the library does!!
We are having a book drive at work. We are trying to collect 10,000 books that will go to underprivledged kids along with crayons and stuff. I wish you were here to donate some of those. So glad Jansen has the love of books! love, mom
did jansen make that mess?
Please get Blueberries for Sal. It's one of my favorites. I am sure if Jansen like Goonight Moon, he will love it.
I have to have a special "covert operation" to put Evie's books back on her shelves. For some odd reason, she freaks out if she sees me putting them away! She'd love that "mountain" of books at your house. Seriously, I wouldn't see her for hours, she'd just sit and look through each and every one! Hurry here Jansy Pants...we'll read together!
booker's room has looked like that more than one time in his life. it's so nice when kids love to read.:)
Wow, that is a serious book collection! It makes me want to go out and buy some more books . . . .or maybe I'll just come borrow some from you!
what a great pic, and what a great traditon for him to grow up in! books are great, and maybe with all this reading, he too will grow up to correct the spelling and grammar on national standardized tests just like his daddy! and i'm sorry i'm too late to wish nate luck, but i'm sure he did just great!
