Last night was crazy. A total jack-in-the-box night...between Natalie and Jansen I don't think I slept for a solid half hour until after 3 in the morning. Jansen didn't seem like he was in pain and wasn't even crying much, but he just kept waking up over and over all through the night and calling for me. This morning I could tell that his eardrum had ruptured. So here he is having a sick day. I usually hate these kinds of days because he refuses to let me make him a little bed on the couch...he only wants me to hold him (while I'm standing up) or to rock him in a rocking chair. Not gonna happen when you have 2 kids. So I FINALLY got him to curl up and settle down with some of his favorite animals. Don't you love the huge monkey chair? He won't sit in it, but he often wants it in his crib with him or in this case, beside him on the couch.

Jansen's darling quirkiness (along with his ear issues) remind me so much of Evie! I do have one question about the Thomas the Train underpants. So, would you consider him wearing those underwears without being completely potty trained a "train wreck waiting to happen?"

Oh, his poor ears. I hope he is better soon. I love the underwear! He is going to catch on so quick, you just wait and see. If not, you can always whine with me because I can go on and on when it comes to potty training.

Crazy - we had a very similar night last night. We should have called each other. If I could have vented to you I might not have beat the feathers out of my pillow! I'm so sorry about his ear. Poor guy! And I love the underwear! Oh, I can't wait for the day when Kyle will wear those all the time. He's totally lost interest in potty training. Maybe someday - hopefully before Kindergarten!
Underwear models move aside! I love the pose where is looking down at them, he's a natural. I love the chair on the couch. Such a funny little guy. Remember how a warm washcloth on your ear was soothing? Let me know about the doctor visit. Love, mom
Oh, those poor little munchkins with ear infections . . . and poor Mommy and Daddy (more than likely -mostly poor Mommy) ha, ha! Sure wish we could help out at times like that . . . Like your mom, I LOVE the pose where he's looking down at his undies, and I love the monkey chair on the couch! He's a riot! And cute little Natalie - with the giant bagel, and then peeking out of her crib! Can't wait to see you guys - Love you!
I think Ben has those same underwear. Andy's mom bought them for him with high hopes that they would inspire him to get potty trained. No luck so far. :) Glad things are going better with Jansen.
poor guy...and poor natalie. hope they get better soon and let you get a little more shut-eye.
