What a great week it has been! My sister in law flew out here from Salt Lake with her two kids (a boy the same age as Jansen, a girl the same age as Natalie) and spent a week with us while her husband put in some crazy hours at work and school. I am not sure how to even begin to recap the week, but I have included lots of pictures. Just a couple highlights:
-We had been planning for weeks to get pictures taken of the 4 of them. Julie looked and looked for matching dresses for the girls, we made new headbands for them, talked and planned out what the boys would wear, etc. After what we knew would be a hectic morning, we hauled them to JC Penney to get the pictures taken. Jansen WOULD NOT cooperate and we didn't get a single picture of the 4 of them. We bravely decided to try again, this time at Target. I am convinced there is "portrait poltergeist" that invades homes and studios trying to prevent people from getting their pictures taken. We were once again haunted by this demon. To name just a couple of the problems: both girls got rashes (possibly from their new dresses???) and Jansen slobbered red candy slobber all over his white shirt minutes before we were leaving. (Nate, I DO appreciate the attempt to get him to cooperate by giving him a treat. It was just a wrong choice in color and type of candy.) To make a long story short, we did get a picture of the 4 of them. Jansen wasn't smiling, but he wasn't frowning either. Oh well.
-Julie is so sweet. My birthday is later in March, but she wanted me to be able to celebrate with some family here, so she "changed" my birthday and got me some beautiful flowers and also decorated the house with streamers, balloons, etc. She made a fabulous cake that we ate while wearing our My Little Pony party hats. It was so much fun and so thoughtful of her.
-So here are some pictures in a crazy mixed up order. Sorry about that.

Oh, we miss you guys so much! We had the time of our life!! Today Kyle has been saying "play Jansen." We can't wait for June!
There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful all those pictures are to a grandma!!! I'm so glad that you and Nate, and Julie and ALL the kids were able to have such a great time. Thanks so much for sharing them, and we, too, can't wait for June! I'm also anxious to see the pictures you had taken - that was sure a valiant effort on the part of you and Julie!
Jess, that is so neat that you have someone related that has kids the same sex and age! As you know, I've lucked out with that too and it is so much fun! I'm so glad you had a good week! Love you all!

How fun for you that you get visitors so often! We live much closer to our families than you do, but so far, only my sister has been to Denver to see us. Lucky you!
