What to Blog About...

I'm not really sure what this blog will end up being about. It just feels like it's been too long since my last post so I wanted to write about SOMETHING. And include this picture of Natalie making a funny face. So what's going on in life right now? Well, Jansen made it all the way through nursery today. I was so proud of him. I don't think we even had to take him out of sacrament meeting either. He has boycotted his nap the last few days...will not take one...and that sends chills up my spine to think that he would be done napping at this age. I'm hoping it's just a phase. Jansen doesn't seem to be too fond of the weatherman out here. I often have the news on in the morning and lately when the weatherman comes on he turns to the TV and says, "Don't talk to Jansen! Don't talk!" But only when that weatherman is on. Natalie is becoming so social and she smiles and coos almost every time we talk to her. It's adorable and I can't get enough of it. She pretty much won't nap during the day unless we're holding her so I bought a sling online the other day and am hoping she will like it and I will have my hands free again for a little while. Oh yeah! And I bought these:

After MUCH deliberation we have decided to stay here for the holidays (sniffle, sniffle). I decided that if I was going to be so far from home I needed something that would remind me of being home. Well these two movies are part of my childhood (and adulthood) and although the Garfield one can be particularly strange, I love it nonetheless. I will end this blog now. I know that when they get too long people get bored and stop reading altogether.

What a crack up! Don't you just wish that Jansen could explain this stuff to you? Or that you could at least magically read his mind? Why doesn't he like the weather man? I love it.

And your posts could not be too long. Don't you know we eat this stuff up?

I love Muppet Christmas Carol - but I've never seen the other. We'll be here for Christmas too, so don't be strangers!

I'm so glad you got the Garfield Halloween. It was not to be found when I was looking for it a few years ago. You guys loved it! I still get all persnikity(as Carrie and Angie put it) when I see it. I can just see you and Anthony sitting on the floor in the house by the Pectols eating dinner on those red trays and watching the movie. I'm sure a Pectol or two was over as well. Lookin forward to December! Love, mom

Garfield brings back some childhood memories of mine too. Oh and that cute little pic of Natalie is just adorable...she is going to be quite the character, I can just feel it.

My Natalie reminded me that last year we watched Muppet Christmas Carol with hot chocolate and candy canes. She wanted to make sure we did it again. It's those little memories that make all the difference, and although I am absolutely distraught at the thought of missing you on Christmas (though I will still call you with our Christmas Eve tradition conversation), you are going to make memories wherever you are! p.s. I'm not too fond of the weathermen either.

I never really liked the orange cat. do you remember the birthday (we must have been 12 or 13) when we all got you cans of garfield ravioli? we were so mean :)
are you sticking around for christmas and thanksgiving? I am so glad that I get to go home for at least one holiday this year. I am sure that by the time Zeb requires his own ticket we'll be doing the Ohio Christmas as well. I'm sure you'll conjure up all sorts of fun things to do!
