Surprise in the Engine

Nate opened the hood this afternoon to add some more coolant
and we found this...a squirrel or something built a nest in the
warmth of the Escort. We have no idea how long it's been there.
We're just grateful the whole thing hasn't ignited!!!

GROSS! Something like that could totally be on my engine and I would NEVER know because I never open my hood! How did you get it off?

Hi Nye fam! I LOVED thinking that a small woodland animal had taken residence with you! Also, I love the videos of little Jansen. It seems he has the same "fashion sense" that Jessica did as a young child! We love you all!

Crazy!!! A similar thing happened to me . . . I was taking care of
Donnie & Emily's little dog and left a small SEALED tupperware container of dog food on the back seat of my car overnight. The next morning, the lid was off and the whole container was empty. I was baffled by this . . . until I found my whole glove compartment full of little dry dog food "kibbles" and shredded napkins! The work of one busy mouse - or many? Couldn't think about it too much or I'd be afraid to drive my car!!!

I hope that the Stanza also can have fuzzy friends, or perhaps because it is Nates car a bird will build a nest in his engine...but as I always say safety first!

That is the sickest thing ever... I love that it happened to you and Nate. Whatever it was probably had babies and they live in your car now.
