AS long as you shut the curtain after each use to let it air out you don't have to do ANYHING with it!! I have had ones that I have put in the washer with bleach too.. another good way. I figure if you don't mind changing the dollar store ones.. than go for it!! My last one would tear out soon after I bought it. Though I was talking about shower curtains this morning and I guess on the Today Show they said plastic ones can be bad and you should get the cloth like ones. I don't know, I'll have to look it up. I think the super cheap ones may mold a bit quicker, but then you just replace them. I'm with you.
